SOLD French Dinner Service in Papillon Pattern Circa 1900

This partial dinner service in an engaging pattern with butterflies and flowers was made by Creil & Montereau. It is french Ironstone, known as “terre de fer.” The set consists of:
8 soup plates: 9″ dia
13 Luncheon plates: 8″ dia
19 dinner plates: 8.75″ dia
one oval platter: 15″ long, 10″ wide
one large round platter: 12″ dia
one medium round platter: 11″
one small round platter: 10″ dia
two covered serving dishes: 12″ dia, 8″ high
one sauce tureen: 6″ high, 10″ long, 6″ wide
two footed dishes: 9″ dia, 2″ high
one serving bowl: 11″ dia, 2″ high
