-SOLD- A Pair of Swedish Late Gustavian Armchairs With Old White Paint Circa 1820

An attractive pair of armchairs with many features of the Gustavian style in Stockholm, including an openwork cut out design at the backs, delicate carvings on the aprons, and a circle of acanthus leaf carvings on the front legs. They are covered with a blue and grey antique French toile from the late 19th century which contrasts beautifully with the original white paint surface which has been enhanced in places.
