This beautifully detailed Gustavian period bench bears the signature hop and flower carvings of the Lindome Carpentry Guild, an important center for furniture making in 18th century Sweden. The pale grey paint surface is original and the fine detail of the carving speaks to the talent of these artisans. The bench is newly upholstered in a French linen fabric.
