Six Stockholm Dining Chairs in Original Off White Paint Circa 1800

These Gustavian Period dining chairs are examples of work by the Stockholm Chair Makers Guild. The carved open work motif at the center of the back is typical of this style, which is seen in many variations. The front legs are ornately carved beginning with a rosette at the corners above a reeded leg. The upholstered backs are slightly curved and very comfortable. They are upholstered in a Swedish linen.
