This table is a rare example of the best of Gustavian era elegance and style. Its many features include beautiful carvings on the apron punctuated by rosettes at each corner, and tapered reeded legs. The carved front is accentuated by a ribbon in the form of a swag centered with a bow. The newer marble top with a honed surface and subtle veining reflects this elegant form. The stretchers at the base are joined by a raised finial. It is a combination of these features coupled with the original blue paint that makes this table an outstanding example of Swedish style.
