SOLD A Partial Dinner Service in a Shell and Ribbon Design from H.B. & Cie, Choissy Le Roi, France, Circa 1930

This unusual dinner service, made in Choissy le Roi, France, is a rare and sought after pattern of shells and ribbons with the addition of birds. What makes this set so interesting is that all of the pieces are square. The set includes dinner and luncheon plates, as well as soup plates and several platters. Choissy le Roi has been a center for pottery making in France since the early 19th century. Much of it was produced by the Boulenger family as the business was passed from father to son.
