These unusual stools in original paint have the typical Gustavian carved leaf motif surrounding the apron and elegant splayed legs emanating from a carved rosette at the top. The stools have the easily identifiable stamp of the Stockholm Chair Makers Guild, Stockholm Sweden circa 1790. They were possibly made by Ephraim Stahl, a chair maker at the time.
