This lovely set of six dining chairs of the late Gustavian period have an open back with reeded sides and triangular central medallion leading to a curved and upholstered back. The reeded front legs are tapered and the back legs end in an elegant curve. The chairs are upholstered in a rough linen fabric and the paint surface is original. These are extremely comfortable chairs good for long dinners anywhere. Sweden circa 1800.
