A Swedish Gustavian Period Corner Cupboard from Northern Sweden, Circa 1790

This cupboard in original white paint is a spectacular example of the Swedish cabinet makers art. It begins at the top with the finest beaded molding, followed by a frieze of carved leaves showing traces of the original green paint. At the center very unusual hand carved tulips in old green paint create a striking focal point. The old iron escutcheons are original as is the key. The top and bottom doors open to reveal two shelves each and afford great storage.
