Sold A Swedish Period Stockholm Made Clock Circa 1760

This elegant clock retains the original pale blue paint surface and beautiful chinoiserie paintings. Faint touches of gold frame the face and the opening for the pendulum. The face is signed A. Lundberg. A great example of the Rococo style, the clock has a carved three tier bonnet and glass panels on the front and sides. The interesting feet are carved in the Rococo manner.
This clock has an unusual movement with one brass weight and a rare full sized second hand. It keeps perfect time and does not chime. There is also a remarkable mechanism with a brass gate that closes off the winding keyway.

All of our clocks are serviced and we guarantee them to be in fine working condition when they leave our store, a responsibility that we take very seriously. However Swedish clocks with very simple mechanisms often require setup and calibration when they are moved. When you purchase a clock it is best to have a professional clock technician come to your home to set it up and get it running reliably.
