-SOLD- A Swedish Sideboard Dry Scraped to Original Blue Paint from Stockholm C. 1770

This uniquely large sideboard originated from a manor just north of Stockholm and was made during the transitional period between Rococo and Gustavian, around 1770. The piece’s original blue-green paint shows perfect age and dry scraped patina with the grain of the pine peaking through and adding bands of color. This sideboard has a total of four doors with the two side doors being quarter circle rounded and featuring a reeded front. The interior, with ample storage, has never been painted and also conceals two drawers with wooden knobs. The large size and quality of construction bring character to this outstandingly solid piece.
