SOLD A Swedish Wooden TraveSold l Box in Original Blue-grey Paint With Key, Circa 1780

In Sweden during the late 18th century, wooden travel boxes were used to carry precious items from one destination to another by coach. This box in a soft blue-grey paint, has straps on the back and front, and the original working lock and old key that opens it. The interior retains the original pale peach paint. The large size is unusual; it is a great decorative piece.
