An Unusual Pair of Trough Bowls with Green Paint, Circa 1860

These hand carved bowls are from Jämtland on the border of Norway, and are signed with the maker’s mark indicating that they are an original pair made by the same person. They were 19th century storage vessels used to keep vegetables or fruit. Although they are a pair and we would prefer to keep them together they may be purchased separately as well.
