Sold A Pair of Swedish Rococo Period Armchairs Circa 1770

These country Rococo armchairs have an elegant simplicity, with interesting curved backs, and arms ending in graceful outward curves. A similar pair is pictured in “The Golden Age of the Chair,” a Swedish book devoted to antique chairs where they are attributed to Alexander Thunberg. The old pale blue paint is a very pleasing easy to live with color.
