The Slagbord table is one of the most useful pieces of Swedish design, ideal as a dining table, or a sofa table with the leaves dropped. We were happy to see one in the entrance to King Gustav’s Pavilion at Haga Park in Stockholm. This table has a lovely surface of original paint with touches of blue, and has only one leg holding each leaf allowing more room for chairs. It will easily seat six to eight people.
