This special bench is a real showstopper, with carvings and details that are not often seen. It has elegance and style, with an elaborately carved raised portion with leaves, flowers and dental molding, accented by finials at the four corners. The dramatic ribbon at the center holds a decorative bouquet of leaves with stylized ribbons falling to the sides. The pale cream color is original with traces of the wood surface showing through. It is upholstered in a linen fabric with two bolsters and pulls open to provide a bed for a child.
