A Swedish Rococo Period Cabinet in White Paint C. 1770

This early Rococo cabinet has all the right details, giving it a harmonious elegance. Recessed carvings on the upper doors echo the gracefully curved shape of the cornice. The hardware is all original, with ornate escutcheons featuring two cherubs holding the crown of Sweden. The ball feet, usually seen on baroque period furniture, show how early in the rococo period this piece is from. The interior with ample shelf space and a spoon rack is useful for storage or display. The base also features three deep drawers for further storage. This cupboard has a unique three part construction with the corniced top being removable making it easier to move.
