This chest features a Greek key motif, which while likely added later, adorns the top drawer with fantastic patina and gives the piece individuality. The working locks in all 3 drawers are original. The escutcheons are correct for the period. The wooden top shows signs of wear and harmonizes with the Greek Key letter border. All drawers move smoothly, and the chest is quite sturdy. An appealing chest in a useful size.
