A pair of Nyhavn wall sconces suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Original solid copper construction has acquired a wonderful verdigris patina. A winning design created in the 1970s by Alfred Homann and Ole V. Kjaer for a Louis Poulsen Lighting contest. The shade projects light downward and a soft light emits from the three rings and the glass bulb shield on top. Modern wiring. Small indent on one wall mount does not affect performance. The great patina on this pair makes all the difference. They are very sturdy and would work well on the outside of a building.
